Any future for Ultima?

Greetings! I'm curious how folks here feel about the way the Ultima
series has played out. The Ultima games (namely Ultima 4) and The Bard's
Tale were my intro to computer RPG's back in the 80's, and looking at
where the series has gone I can't help but feel a bit sad that it seems
like its come to an end. Mind you, I don't think that the Ultima series
should been like Mario Bros. and spun off 100+ titles, but when I think
about how unique the Ultima games were, how rich the land and lore was, I
can't help but feel the series had more life left in it. Maybe 10 games
and an MMORPG were enough.

A few questions:
Do you think we'll ever see another Ultima game, or will EA just sit on
the license? Has RG ever spoken about any sort of future Ultimas? Do
you think there would be a point to future titles or is it best to leave
it as it ended with Ultima X?

If EA is planning another U9-like monstrosity, I'd just as soon they sit
on the license.

Maybe when UO starts to become unpopular they will come out with Ultima
10 in an effort to drive new players to the MMORPG. It's hard to say
with EA - they seem to like gobbling up IP and then never doing anything
with it.

I'm still pinning my hopes on RG coming back to his roots, buying the
Ultima name from EA, then making a nice new Ultima X for the nVidia 20FX
series of holographic GPUs. We just have to wait for common sense and the
utter failure of Tabula Rasa to sink in...

brothers, a mother, and an aunt (Musahi & Submersible (Brothers), GSD

Not a chance, Vapor., I would have known if my sister was Jennifer Connely.

Besides, my sister is married to a nice young man, and has been for the past
4 years (Give or take).. And her name now is: 'Jennifer Comly Joseph'.

Her husband's name? Shawn Joseph.

And what sort of accident were you plotting? I mean 'thinking of'.

I could hook you up with the leader of the EAs, you know. He pops on the
Weyrmount sometimes. And I'm reasonably certain I once saw a pic on some
UDIC page of the EAs having LB behind bars. Forget where I saw it.
