My goal is to transfer personal files from my work pc to my new personal pc (xp to windows 8). I was able to move the files to an external hard drive (Seagate Backup Plus) and don't see a way to now move them to the new pc. Seagate help wasn't helpful.
If you used the backup program, use the same program you used to restore the files. Unless it does not run on Windows 8, in which case you can just copy the file manually and copy them to where you want.
