Hello.

I recently returned from Fall Break, and my audio is picking up everything. When I move the mouse, noise, when the Hard disk spins up, noise ect. ect. Even the keyboard. It is a very static like noise. I have tried both the onboard and the SB Live! cards and they both sound the same.

Is this a motherboard issue?

Sounds like electrical interference. Try turning the volume in windows down to below 75% and only turning up your speaker volume.
