I was using my pc and suddenly restarted, after that i'm unable to boot winXP, i can only get to the boot choices promt safe mode, last known good...etc no matter what i choose the system restart. I have tried to boot from the CD and try to repair the installation and it happens again it restarted the PC i also moved the HD to anothe XP system as slave and the same it doesn't allow the system to boot.
I know my data still there because i've copied some files to a fat32 HD on Win98 using an utility readntfs.
Any ideas how can i fix this problem or how to run chkdsk some other way.

Thanks

Some data corruption may have occured that prevents boot. If you wan't to recover data from the drive, put it as slave on another PC with a working windows. Boot on that machine, recover your data and run whatever chkdsk tools you can think of.
