This laptop came with Vista Home Premium, and a TON of bloatware. So I installed a fresh copy of my own Vista Ultimate that I bought awhile back. Now my wireless does not work, the light doesn't even come on when I turn the switch on. The drivers are correct, and my ethernet works through a CAT5 cable, but no wireless. Any clue on how to fix this?
P.S. - This is the black friday laptop - has anyone found a way to put XP on it yet? If not I'll just be happy if I can get my wireless working
Have you run the Connection wizzard. If the wireless card isn't in Device Manager, than a driver problem. As for installing XP, you should just have to boot off the CD, do a full format, and install it. Did you down load the latest BIOS and install them or use the drivers from the CD that came with the machine? If the latter, download from the mfg website
