I just reinstalled windows and i have done all the updates from the windows
updates site. The problem that I am having is that when i connect to my
wireless internet my computer will reboot unless i have a firewall installed
on my computer. I thought at first it was the blaster worm but i updated with
the patch and did a virus scan and it came up clean. Anyone have any ideas on
what could be the problem?

After you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), your computer
repeatedly restarts. You do not receive an error message.

If your processor supports "hardware-enforced data execution prevention"
(eg, an AMD 64-bit processor),
AND you have hardware that requires Mpegport.sys driver, then you may find
this Microsoft article useful.
