In winMe and Win98 there is a function under "System Information," "Tool," "System Configuration Utility," and then "startup". Where is this function in Win2000 Pro. Thank You

Basically 2 places:

1) Right click on the Start menu, then open -> Programs -> Startup

2) Registry Key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run

I'd recommend Startup Cop. It's a good program.

I don't think that works in Win2K, if I remember correctly.

Actually, you can download it on <A HREF="http://www.btvillarin.com/software/windows/index.html" target="_new">this page</A> and run it. I'll change this over to Windows 2000 sometime, because it's in the wrong category.

IF YA WANT TO BE CREATIVE, COPY THE MSCONFIG.EXE FROM A WIN XP MACHINE AND PASTE THE .EXE IN THE C:\WINNT\SYSTEM FOLDER ON 2K. *works like a charm!

it was a retort to your chat room ethics "please don't shout". wtf, who cares if it was caps. your the only one bitching about it. Doesn't sound to friendly, Im sorry... did I hurt your little feelings? Obviously you haven't seen American Pie.

I doubt Zlash and arrow were the only ones who didn't like the shouting. I didn't like it either. It's common netiquette practice to not type in all caps (called shouting). Plus, he said please. No need to flame over that.

so instead of contributing to a cause, you people would rather comment on someone using caps and not help someone out. thats lame! where's your input on raylee's issue? faq, get a life.
