My gf is looking for a new laptop and we wouldn't mind some extra input, opinions, and some different options. Here's what she's looking for:

- Large, wide screen <for movies>

- Used for word processing, downloading & listening to music and movies and for watching DVD movies .... NO GAMING

- Doesn't have to be light or thin or to have a long battery life as it will mostly be plugged in on her desk

She is not too sure on the brand that she wants or where to get it. I would like to avoid retail like Future shop because of the mark-ups on the products, but she isn't too keen on the legitimacy of buying online.. but she might be swayed to :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and happy holidays!
