I have a 440bx chipset (I/0 chip=intel 82351EB) with
a dual boot (win98se and win2k). On win2k, dma is
enabled and my DVD reads TWICE as fast as in win98se,
where there is NO TAB for "advanced". I couldn't find
any INTEL driver for the 440bx chipset for win98 - does
anyone know better? The list of chipset "families"
were 820 and higher - none for 440. Or should I use
the 820, since my Intel I/O controller is 82351EB?
Confusing to me. Since Win2k goes so fast (same system,
same DVD), I assume my hardware supports DMA access - so
what do I need from Intel (or whomever) to get DMA
for win98 - VERY CONFUSED OVER HERE.
(my mbaord is the supermicro P2SBA).
