Nokia E71 Wifi

Anyone have experience of connecting an E71 to a home wifi network which has WPA-PSK TKIP encryption.
Nokia spots the network, accepts our passphrase, shows some sort of browser, doesn't respond to web addresses I put in.

The best tip I've had so far from trawling the net is to set a home page. Haven't tested it as I'm doing this for my neighbour.
Right now she's more interested in me fixing the Nokia default startup password for one of her choosing -- or the latest issue, find out why the phone spontaneously went to silent ring.
This Nokia is meant to be a good phone - but the manual is pretty slim and the menus aren't particularly intuitive.
