Suppose I have two high quality (but different) sticks of 512MB PC2700 ram running together... is this a potential problem?

Should they improve things? Should I stick with one stick of 512MB?

With PC133 ram in the past, I have just thrown random stick together in an attempt to increase total system ram, but with DDR and newer, faster computers, I am looking for some advice.

Thanks.

I dunnot forsee problem as long as both have the same timming rating. Otherwise its just a good idea when using dual channel to get matched pairs for optimal performance in dual channel.

Barton 2500+ @ 2200mhz (10x220 vcore @ 1.8)
Asus A7N8X Dlx 440 FSB
1gb Geil GD pc3500 Dual Channel (2-3-3-6)
Segata 80gb SATA 8.5ms seek
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro(420/720)

I do not think the ram I am looking is as good of quality as I was thinking... I might have to lower my settings to use it... but still, 1024MB of ram... I would like to see if I notice anything different... especially with the Far Cry Demo craze here...

I have a friend asking $55.00 for the Kingston ram I am asking about in another thread today...

I will use it in another computer initially, but might drop it in my good one when no friends are around for a LAN game...
