Alright...i'm looking for a new gaming notebook.
Price max is $1600
So far, i have offerings from HP, dell (blah), and asus. The hp is the most powerful, and cheapest at 1550. it comes with:
17" 1680x1050 screen
2.2GHz, 3GB ram, 8600gt 512MB (probably 256 is shared, i'm not sure), 250gb sata, dvdrw, bluetooth, and extended battery.
I'd like it to be a 15.4" screen, but..i can deal.
I'd also like at least 2 hours of battery life.
Does anyone know of any more obscure notebook manufacturers that can beat that at that price/lower?
Alienware is rumored to be coming out with new 15" and 17" notebooks in January. I'm not sure on what gfx cards they will have but expect them to be 8600's or more. I have an Alienware Area-51 M5550 with a 7600 and its a year and half old so I would bet they will have 8xxx's in the new ones. Also, the sneak pictures i've seen of the notebooks have them with backlit keyboards, a very nice feature that has me interested in upgrading myself.
Yeah sager notebooks are very good and have a very good and reasonable price , that one that lostandwandering posted has the same specs like that VOSTRO 1500
