I'm working on an HP Pavilion dv6000z that somebody spilled water on. Sometimes it turns on and boots up just fine, but sometimes a gives a beep code that goes beeeeep (pause) beep beep and boots up fine, but the display doesn't work. I looked it up and the code means that the video adapter isn't detected. The screen works more often when I have a secondary monitor plugged in, and I have no idea why this is. The video card (geforce 7200 go) is integrated into the motherboard. I can't see any water damage on and of the curcuits. Is there anything I can do to salvage this and maybe get it working again or do I have to get a new motherboard?

Thanks.

If it works better with an external monitor, sounds like there was damage to the monitor or the connection between the monitor and video card
