I just purchased a HP laptop preinstalled with Vista. I want to remove Vista and Install XP on the SATA HD. My question is, I have a XP spII CD. Does XP SPII supply the drivers for the SATA HD? (I believe XP and XP sPI do not).

It should. I XP SP2 on my Dell and I reformatted without a problem.
