Installing upgrade version of windows 7 on new motherboard.

Just to be sure I am understanding the sticky above correctly, I wanted to ask a question.

My current PC has an OEM copy of windows XP. So I can go ahead and buy an upgrade version of Windows 7 for 119 instead of 200 for the full retail version and install it on my computer right?

Then, when I buy a new motherboard soon, I can upgrade my computer and use the same windows upgrade version CD's to reinstall Windows on the upgraded computer right?

Can someone post the steps for installing the upgrade version onto a new MB?
