Acer notebook -- gameworthy or not?

The below notebook I received as a gift over the holidays. Initially I thought it was outfitted well enough to run a few games albeit on reduced settings. Much to my dismay, I've discovered that about the best I can get away with is GalCiv2, as every fps I've loaded is virtually unplayable. I have updated the vista display drivers, but this has had a negligible impact on the frame rate. Is there something wrong with the hardware, the configuration, or is the problem just with my expectations?

Unfortunately this laptop comes with the weakest card of the 8400M Series.

They mention this for games, but they may be talking more about the 8400M GT, not the 8400M G that you have.

You may have to upgrade to the 8600 or 8800 versions, and sell yours on Ebay if you expect to play the latest games.

I agree with the post above, the 8400 isn't really gameworthy in my opinion. You'll be able to play World of Warcraft but that's about it!
