This may be a stupid question, but here goes. I need to reformat my hard drive (that is not the problem). The problem is, I do not want to lose all the URL addresses that I have saved in my Bookmarks (over 100 URLs and still counting). How can I do this?

My browser is Firefox/2.0.0.11
Thanks

Register or log in to remove.

Export your bookmarks to another drive, partition, CD, flash drive, whatever. Once you reinstall Firefox, import them. Same with your address book

Do you know where I will find my bookmarks (which directory, I have looked everywhere) so I can save them?

You help is greatly appreciated.

Click on Bookmarks, Organize, File, Export and you'll be ask where to export them. Where ever you back them up, suggest you create a Folder entitled Bookmarks, makes it easier to find. If you don't have a second hdd or your hdd isn't partitioned, you could use a flash drive, the file isn't very big. Good idea to back up both your bookmarks and address book every so often
