Keep the ram and buy a new motherboard...

************************************

OK, you need pc133 or pc100 ram, which has 168 pins and 2 notches...

You bought some ddr ram (likely pc2100, which is 133x2)that has 184 pins and 1 notch...

PC133 ram is getting to be expensive... so, really, keep the ram and get a cheap $50 board or something... that may not be the best advice, but not knowing anything about your computer, it is hard to advise anyone to spend money on pc133 ram...

PC66, PC100, and PC133 have 2 slots, you didn't buy PC133.

You are at the stage where you ought to consider upgrading your motherboard before spend $100 on pc133 ram... what are your computer's specs?

You might want to stay happy with 256MB of ram or whatever you have and start saving up for a new system... but let us know what you have, including case and psu, and $100 might go a long way for you...

You might get more out of your system by going back to 98SE than keeping XP Pro and adding another 256MB of ram... :)
