Hi, I want to buy a 19 inch LCD fairly soon for around $450 after shipping. So far I have been eyeing the Dell E196FP 19-inch. Is this typically a good one? I have heard good things about ViewSonic as well. Are there any good recommendations in my price range?
The next model up for Dell doesn't sound much better. The E196FP has 500:1 contrast and 8ms response. The 1905FP has contrast 800:1 and only 20ms response for $80 more. I think I would rather have the 8ms. Is it worth it to have better contrast ratio, or just stick with response?
I don't game a lot, but will need it for some casual gaming.. Unreal tournament, Prince of Persia etc. I will barely ever if ever watch movies on it.
