Hi guys,

I'm about to purchase a Dell 1558 and I have a dilema. The two options we have in my country are:
1. Dell 1558 i5 - 520M with a 320GB 5400 RPM and a 6 cell battery.
2. Dell 1558 i5 - 430M with a 500GB 7200 RPM and a 9 cell battery.
rest of the specs are the same for both:
Screen: 15.6 WLED FULL HD - 1920 X 1080.
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512MB.
RAM: 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel.
Other: Wireless, Bluetooth, Warrenty, 2MP Cam.

Both laptops costs about the same (around $25 - $50 difference, depends on the store).

On one side I got a better battery and faster + bigger HD but on the other the processor is faster.
Which one would I gain the most from in your opinion?
Is there a big difference between the 520 and the 430? or noting too noticable?

Thanks a lot.

Barak.

I'd go for the i5-430 with the faster hard drive and larger battery. The difference between the 430 and 520 isn't all that large, but you gain the benefit of a 7200 vs 5400 RPM hard drive along with a large battery for longer portable use.

Definitely the second option. The processing power difference is not all that significant. Advantages of the larger and faster HDD and the extra battery: you would be two points up!
