I'm building a new computer. P4 2.8c and Asus P4P800. I'm trying to figure out what memory to get. Since timings don't make that much difference until you go over CL3 I'm looking to get 1GB of CL2.5 memory. I'm also thinking of doing a little overclocking so I'm figuring to get PC4000. Last but most important I'm on a budget. I'd really rather not spend more than $175. I'm looking at this;

Any opinions or alternate suggestions?

P.S. I'm sort of doing this on the presumption that if you get higher speed memory with slower timings you can run it at slower speeds with faster memory timings. (ie. PC4000 3-3-3-8 running at only 200mzh can be set 2-2-2-5) Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

What ever you do, DO NOT buy anything from AIB. Seriously, these guys are actually scamming people with their goods. Doing things like advertising fast memory for unbelievably low prices, and then either sending you something else entirelly (usually slower memory), or modules with sinks slapped on them showing higher speeds, when in fact it's much much slower.

There is virtually no support, almost never returning calls, or emails. And when they are there, they either give you an earful, or simply hang up on you. Goods sometimes never arrive too, and they also overcharge.

Saay, you look really beautiful. Mind if I take a sniff of your butt-hole?

I agree with Woodman, I actually read all posts by people on these guys and I was amazed at how they are still in business. Hell, im amazed their not in jail, here is link to their abysmal ratings and reviews:

Yikes!!!.....Glad I asked. I looked at the seller reviews. They were not pretty.

So does anybody know where I can get good memory on the cheep? I'm looking to get 1GB of PC4000 but it doesn't have to be 2-3-3-7-T1 something 3-4-4-4-8-T2 would be fine. I'd like to stay under 2.5 though if I can.

How about this?
