Recommend me a new H/D!

As title really. Built my new A64 3200 system and next on my list is the hard disk. Wanting a really fast IDE hard drive about 80-120gb.

Western Digital WD1200JB or Seagate's 7200.7 (if it comes in PATA, not sure) are my two recommendations.

Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.

I have a west digi 20gb atm and its been excellent. I think I will opt for the 120gb version now. Its not too expensive either.

I agree with the above posters if you want IDE.

Personally, I can't wait till the 74 GB raptor(SATA - 10000 RPM) gets here that I ordered today, course, its quite expensive at $258 but it is the fastest drive on the market today.

Ive got 2 120Gb seagate 7200.7's and one WD 80gig specail edition. The performance difference between the drives is negligable, but i prefer the seagate drives because they are quieter.
