I recently did an update and now my computer is "off". None of my displays
are the same- font under icons, colors, etc.. I cannot for the life of me
remember how to customize some of these. I went to the display> advanced>
changes the parts it allowed - 'cept still can't get font and stuff right....
Cant find a way to resize my task bar at all. Tried to a system restore- it
wont do that either... I have tried many many many restore points - and it
wont restore....

Help- any suggestions?

right click a blank spot on the desk top. Choose "properties" from the
menu. Then click the "appearance" tab and see if you can find what you need
there.

When my computer is off, it displays nothing and is totally
non-functional. Try turning it on and see what happens.

That is exactly what I already DID do...... some things are a little bit
better - some aren't! How do I get my taskbar bigger and font on taskbar??
Any open window- whether it is a word doc or web page- like this-- font is
small and kind of light... Changing resolutions just made it worse....

Write a post that makes sense.

You did an update? An update of what exactly, or are we supposed to
guess?

Have you scanned for spyware & viruses?

What kind of video card? Driver version?

That would be a start.

Was it a video driver update? Never get those from windows update. Try
a driver roll back in device manager for the display adapter.
