I just got accepted into college for a 3 year program and i was wondering what laptop i should get i don't want something amazing because with my luck someone will probably steal it so i was going for something under 1000$ what do you guys recoment i really like the mac books, sony VAIO and hp laptops.

Unfortunately, you won't find a new macbook for under 1 grand. The base price on the cheapest one is 1099.99.

 

What are you looking to do with this laptop? Is it going to be for MS Office applications, web surfing and movie watching? Or do you intend to play any games on it?
