I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the ViewSonic VP171B-2 17" LCD Monitor?

In about two weeks I'm gonna be getting a new PC and looking for a LCD for help in saving some spaces. The System will be used mainly for Gaming and Web Surfing.

Thanks for the help anyone can offer.

looks pretty nice!
If you are interested take a look at the Hyundai L90D+

Here's my OPINION:
Viewsonic is very nice:
17"
very thin bezel
300c
500:1
8ms
Analog & DVI
adjust: height, tilt, pivot, maybe swivel
speakers
$349.00 + $10.00 SH = 359.00 (assuming no tax)

Hyundai L90D+
19"
Very thin Bezel
300c
700:1
8ms
Analog & DVI
adjust: height, tilt, pivot, no swivel
speakers
$379.00 + free shipping = $379.00 (assuming no tax)

is full 19"+ slightly better contrast - maybe no swivel worth $20.00?

I have the L90D+ and it's great. I have emailed Hyundai to verify the 8ms response number. They verified it. The panel is made by Samsung. My father in law just bought a VP201 (repackaged at Costco as VX2000)its a 20" but the picture is also great. Viewsonic always makes good stuff so going that way won't dissapoint either.
I would recommend going for the 19" for $20.00 more in this case although there are many other monitors to take a look at.

If you don't know where your going any road will take you there....
Edited by palmerg on 01/31/05 08:14 AM.
