Hi,

I started getting Sync 8009 error codes

I found a posting that described removing sync entries in the
Windows XP registry and running HotSync with the -r option to rebuild
the registry entries.

1. This has wiped my HotSync profiles - no great problem - I will just
recreate them.

2. The USB option has disappeared from HotSync, so the Sync cable /
cradle does not trigger HotSync when I push the HotSync button on the
Palm or the Cradle. I can't run a Palm synchronisation.

How do I restore USB support on HostSync?

Palm m515
Palm OS 4.1
Win XP Pro

Thanks

Clive

I re-installed Palm desktop 4.0.1 from the CD and the USB support came
back

I find the way synch and conduits are organised on the Palm and the PC
very confusing - and especially difficult to find where are the
controls to disable particular conduits - or to control whether the
Palm syncs with Palm Desktop or Outlook - pretty messy.
