I have a Samsung 913T 19" flat panel monitor that has both analog and DVI inputs. Naturally, the unit only came with an analog cable so I bought a DVID cable as recommended by Samsung.
I tried connecting both cables - analog and digital - but had trouble switching between the two so I decided to just connect the digital (DVI) cable but to be honest I don't see much improvement, if any.
Is there any way to test to see the difference?
I think my problem switching between analog and digital has something to do with the graphics card setup but I'm not sure how to fix that. The monitor has a 'source' button which should enable switching between analog and digital but when I do switch all I see is the desktop image, no task bar and nothing else - even if I was on line or looking at a documnet before the switch.
