This particular monitor has only 3 reviews from newegg, but they are really good:

Basically, what I want is a 19" LCD that has DVI input and that has that very sharp, very bright, almost glassy look to it for hardcore gaming. This monitor looks like it may be a winner, but I was hoping someone else here has tried it and could tell me if it's any good.

It is very promissing, nice remarks of suposed customers. I don't know it, nor I know the manufacturer. Who is it?

Not sure, but I am trying to find out.

Interestingly, I noticed there is a 'gamer' version of this monitor. The gamer version seems to be slightly inferior (it has 500:1 contrast as opposed to this one's 800:1). However, there were 140 reviews for the gamer version that almost all of them were really positive.

I don't know about the gamer version, but my friend just got the x9g-naga v model and it is very nice. haven't seen any ghosting or blurring, very nice color after adjusting gfx card gamma. Has one dvi and one vga connection, he also says its very nice to use with his xbox 360. I'll be getting one of these for my brother's Birthday. Stand looks weak, but it is solidly stable (I poked it to see if it would fall over :-) )

He did say that there is a very quiet high bitch buzz when it is powered off but still plugged in. But it doesn't do that when it is on. So he just unplugs it at night when he sleeps.

Later I hope to look at some photos or images to make sure that the color is good. If I find any problems, i'll edit this post with the info.

EDIT: I didn't get the chace to look at some photos on the screen, but i still like the LCD and will be getting one within the next month.

I got Sceptre X9G Naga V 4 days ago from Costco, considering the possibility to bring it back no Qs asked. So far no cons. It's alittle to bright to work in total darkness. The text is crisp on native resolution.
Now some weirdo notes. With the refresh rate of 75Hz the dark areas are covered with one pixel wide 3-4 pixels long lines of bright green. With 70Hz 2 horisontal purple lines 2-3 pixels wide. @ 60HZ no problems what so ever. The config is Barton 2500@3200, Radeon 850 (no o/c), DVI connection. All devices connected to power with Belkin Surge Master. And ... when the master power switch on Belkin is off and nolights on any of the devices the monitor screen blinks once in a few minuts white. Where does it get the juce I got no idea!
Not to finish on the negative site, I love the monitor, the pic is nice. Better then the Gamer version which I got at work. (3 of them)
