Just got some Twinmos Ram which has a latency of 2.5

My old ram is generic and has a latency of 3

When i put the new ram in the system boots but will reset randomly. Also, when i put the new ram in on its own it makes the machine reboot randomly.

Cant run memtest either because im running an athlon 64

Pleass help

- List current DRAM timings (CAS Latency - tRCD (RAS-to-CAS delay) - tRP (RAS Precharge) - tRAS (Active Precharge Delay)).

- List motherboard, Operating system.

- This PC3200 TwinMos memory? 256MB, 512MB?

- May be necessary to manually increase DRAM voltage, upgrade to latest motherboard BIOS, and/or increase tRCD by 1.

- Insert twinmos alone. As i remember, hit the CTRL+F1 keys together while in BIOS to be able to set timings. Try timings of 2.5-3-3-7 (format in my initial post) or 2.5-4-3-7. DRAM voltage at 2.7V. Report back the results.

- Tried running memtest yet with the lone twinmos stick?

- I'm trying to find some fixes across the internet. Try clearing CMOS and then flashing back to F7 BIOS. Possibly need to do a repair installation of XP after BIOS update.
Try different ram slots.

- System reboots randomly with twinmos alone and generic alone?
