Win 7 & Dual Monitor

I'm trying to setup up dual monitors to my windows 7 pc. What I have is a 22" that is connected via DVI and I'm trying to connect a 32" TV via HDMI. The video card is a HIS Radeon HD 6870. I've made sure the HDMI cable is snug in both the pc and tv ports. I checked the input on the TV to make sure that is correct but the computer still doesn't recognize a second monitor. I've tried to dectect the 2nd monitor(TV) and nothing. I clicked in my Radeon settings to check for driver update and it stated I had the latest driver installed.

In the advanced display settings in Catalyst Control Center there is an option:

If my device is not detected... and then click Force Detect

Then go to the Creating and Arranging Desktops, and make sure the TV is there. You should be able to use it now.
