What RAM works with the Dell Inspiron 600M?

PLEASE DO NOT MENTION CRUCIAL unless you have a stick or two working without any prolbems on your dell inspiron 600m only. i've already tried them their memory did not work with my computer. I had BIOS A06 at the time. I have long returned it for a refund.

So this is my problem. I have 256MB(2x 128) of ram and i'd like to have at least 512. I am wondering if any one here knows what works for sure on there Dell inspiron 600m. I'm nervous in buying anything since my problem with crucial memory.

Crucial memory worked kind of. I would get random BSOD's/memory dumps. Random i mean you would have no idea when it will come. some days it can happen twice on one day while you may not see the problem for a week. This is what i mean by random. I did an RMA and i got a new stick. I had the same problem with the new stick. So i complained hard and i was able to get a refund and take it back. Thats my problem with crucial. So if you mention crucial or just give me the link i'm gonna think your retarded and did not read what i typed here lol. I tried the dell forums and someone did just that after explaining in a whole paragraph of why i don't trust crucial he replies with the crucial website lol!

anyway for anyone reading this thanks! i hope someone out there has a laptop like mine and upgraded and has it working great!

:)

You know i check kingston for something similar to this awhile back and they did not have anything. 150 bucks though - thats insane pricing!

I guess if it works ... can anyone verify that this works for sure? Maybe newegg has it...

ok thanks!

Ya it seams a bit expensive to me but its almost 100% sure it will work with your computer.

people said th at about crucial too lol and i had problems with them.

I guess the biggest problem is that it requires 3.3V 200pin DDR-SDRAM. most ddr is 2.5v.

Well since its on their compatibility list for that specific conputer, I wouldnt worry.

At work they only buy some compaq and some have some strange memory interface/connection whatever they're just not normal SDR or normal 184pin DDR. Anyhow we always pick our memory from kingston's site and we've never had compatibility issue...
