Hi guys, simple question, after installing win7 and the main programs I want to be lightning fast to my SSD and setting it as the boot drive, can I just go ahead and go into my old HDD:\Windows\ folder and delete it? Or do I need to format it thanks

There is no way to uninstall windows. You can only delete it's files and folders or format the old drive. However did you disconnect the old boot drive before you installed to the SSD? Win7 creates a small 100mb partition as it's system boot info. location. If you did not detach the old drive your new win install may still be using that partition. You can not copy it over. Check your SSD in disk management tools and see if it contains a 100 mb simple partition. If it is there then you can format the old drive.

yes the old hdd unplugged whilst win7 loaded onto ssd so it will have the boot info partition, I will format the hard drive then, thanks :)
