I'm interested in buying a gig of ram for my soon to be purchased Asus P4S800D-E Deluxe. Any recommendations on whether I should go with OCZ Gold PC4000, Corsair PC4000, Corsair PC4000Pro, or others?

Of those three, go with what's cheapest. Unless you really NEED those cool LED's on the Pro modules.

Circuit City has PC4000 HyperX for 119.99 for a 512 this week. Thats cheaper then I could find it anywhere online.

GF FX5900 @ 455/955

Just bought some OCZ PC4000 Performance Series
<A HREF="http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/OCZ_DDR_PC-4000_Dual_Channel" target="_new">http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/OCZ_DDR_PC-4000_Dual_Channel</A>
Running on a P4P800-DX with a 2.6c now @ 3.25.
Works like a charm, I didnt see the need to go with EL or gold series, somewhat more xpensive and I dont think it would have boosted performance alot.
Paid 400$can for 1gig, geil and corsair where a good 50-100$ more expensive and the HyperX was alsmot the same price.
Bottom line is that I highly recommand OCZ sweet performance, sweet price.
As crash said go with the cheapest in your area, theyre all good ram.
