My alarms have ceased to sound. My CDs with the handbook are in store and I
don't, therefore, know how to trouble-shoot.

Can anyone point me to an on-line trouble-shooter or suggest the solution?

Thank you

I once had a spate of this. A hard reset generally restored the sounds
for me.

You will find some settings in Prefs->General->Sounds & Alerts.

Also, overclocking can cause problems with sounds.

Does that mean they don't occur at all, or just that they don't make noise?

I have no experience with the Tungsten, so my advice might be totally
without basis. I know that the Palm III series would sometimes get into
the mode of not waking up to sound an alarm after the battery voltage fell
too low (usually happening when the batteries were changed). A hardware
reset always kicked it back into working properly. Perhaps your Tungsten
T got too close to running down at some point? Try a reset; you have
nothing to lose.
