sry if i double posted but is there a adapter i can get that can deal with both 120 and 230/240 volts for a laptop any help would be great.

If you mean those voltages as input, then a standard universal adaptor will work, such as this one:

That only goes from 110 to 230 though, not 240. Not sure if that matters.

PS: According to reviews, that one model isn't the best (it's a bit flimsy) but I hope you get the idea.
