I'm trying to add printers for Power Users on Windows XP, but having no
luck. Users need to add printers at times out in the field, and we don't
want to make them local admins.

We're running a Windows Server 2003 AD domain.

I've read through the Microsoft articles discussing the need to grant
the Power Users group the "load and unload device drivers right." I've
done this, to no luck. I've also done gpupdate and gpresult, and
confirmed that there are no domain policies conflicting with this
setting when I set it locally on the machine.

Even after doing this, when I log on as a power user and click the "add
printers" link in control panel, the option to "add a local printer"
(which is what I need to do) is grayed out. The only option available is
"add a network printer", but that's no use.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Josh
