I keep reading in multiple locations that the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX will *NOT* work with USB 1.1, but on Creative's website, they mention that USB 2.0 is only required for 24-bit/96kHz 5.1 playback. The unit works with 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP, but the features page also mentions "USB 2.0 is only supported in Windows XP."

Has anyone tested it with USB 1.1 and how well does work?

I have a laptop that only has USB 1.1 onboard, so I would have to use a PCMCIA card for 2.0 and I'm not sure what the performance differences would be between the two.

Thanks

You know there's a high end PCMCIA sound card, don't you? Tom's reviewed one about a year ago.
