I took the idea for the DIY projector on this site, and thought of way it might be upgraded.
I dunno if it would really work, but you could create a circuit that you would connect two projectors to, which would then plug into your computer. You would aim both projectors at the same space just perfectly so the pixels align, and the inline circuit would both fool windows into thinking the connected device supports double the normal refresh rate, and would act as a switch, sending alternating signals to each projector.
For one, it would be very difficult to align the pixels due to different placement causing differences in the keystone, so you might need a combining lens for that. Then also, I don't know if the combined screens would mesh well, since while one screen displays, the other screen would be displaying the next frame over top, blurring the two together, so in that case I guess you would have to have some sort of shutter that would blank the display on each device in alternation.
I know this solution is impractical, but what do you guys think?
