I have been installing Asus CDRW drives with ASUS/AMD systems for some time now, and have always suggested Verbatim media (Tom always used it for tests). The feed back I am getting is that these disks are only getting 50 or 60 rewrites before failure. Sometimes a reformat will garner a few mor cycles, but not anywhere near the theoretical 1000 cycles.

Does anyone have any knowledge of longevity tests done cdrw media? Is there better media to be using with the ASUS CDRW drives?
