Need help with 19" monitors

hey i was thinking of buying the samsung 940B 8ms DVI monitor but i read the specs of it somewhere it had good contrast ratio and brightness but apparently the max refresh rate is 50Hz which seems very low. On my CRT at the moment less than 60Hz feels like spikes going into my eyes. Does anyone have one of these? what are they like?

I thought this monitor would be fairly good as its one of the newer, more expensive 19" lcds.
