That laptop is so new you should return it to where you bought it for a replacement. When you get the replacement laptop use the utility on the laptop to create recovery DVD(s).

You sold your Original OS Win7 Home Basic that came with the machine in less then 3 days? If that is the case then you need to purchase a new copy of Windows to install on the machine as you shouldnt have sold it to begin with (it belongs to that machine).

Through HP's support you should be able to get recovery CD's for the cost of shipping but since you "WANT TO PAY MONEY", i personally wouldnt worry about the HP recovery. Any drivers on there can be downloaded from the website and having a fresh install of Windows without all their marketing bloatware is the best way to go.
