GPRS stand for General packet radio service is a packet oriented mobile data service that is developed by European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). GPRS service supports WAP, SMS text messaging, and other data communications. It is used for wifi connections. On the other hand, Global System for Mobile Communications(GSM) is to describe protocols for second generation (2G) digital cellular networks used by mobile phones.
