samsung HDDs

the p80 series. the word is that they`re actually pretty good.

any users here?

i use seagate bara4 80GB, by the way. a bit slow, but very quiet.

i use one,the spin point p80, 120GB. quiet, cool and fast. im not sure about its indurance thouh...ive only used it for 3 weeks, and then sold it to a friend.

I have two Samsung 120gigers. Couple things though:

1. Doesn't work in my dual bay 3.5" firewire bay.

2. After 1 year, my 2nd Samsung developed a slightly louder sound. Both HD's are quieter than my Seagate IV and V's but now the 2nd Samsung is now just as loud as my Seagate V 120gig.

3. Runs slower than my Seagate V in RAID 0. I wouldn't use it for RAID0.

4. Good thing: It's the most quietest seek and idle HD I've ever owned (beats Maxtor, WD, Seagates). Also the most coolest among all the HD's. And... these HD's are the last company I know that still has 3 yr warranty.
