I am evaluating the Dell XPS 1530 versus the Asus GS1=B2. The Dell is about $750 - $1000 more expensive depending on how I configure it. The biggest difference I can find between the two is that the Dell has a T9300 processor, the Asus a T7700. The Dell comes with 4GB memory vs. 3GB for the Asus, but since I do not plan to use 64 bit OS, I do not think the extra GB matters. HD capacity and speed is the same, and essentially the rest of the components are the same if not similar. Asus has a 2 year warranty, Dell is 1.
Any advice on these two systems will be appreciated. Other than the processor, I cannot find anything that gives one machine a clear advantage over the other. Is the processor difference enough to justify the cost difference?
T9300 is @ 2.5 and has 6MB cache and T7700 is @ 2.4 and has 4MB cache u will see a difference in some applications due to T9300 larcher cache but in %90 of games/apps u wont notice the difference
4GB vs 3GB u wont notice the difference even if u would have gone with 64bit windows
So if the price difference is very much go for the ASUS G1S but u say its
$750-$1000 and thats much IMO
