Has anyone had problems with...

the screen on a laptop going fuzzy, looking like static, and 3 screens with lines running on the screen? I have a Compac Presario V 2410 TUR , the 3rd one this month. This one and the last one have had this same problem with the screen. Usually it happens after I have left it alone. My DH said it could be a soft ware problem? It seems that it happens when it would typically go to the screen saver. Any guesses on what is causing it and any solutions?? (I brought it home yesterday and it happened this afternoon so it's still under warrenty, but I just wondered if this was common for others, since 2 of the machines I've had in the past 2 weeks have done the same thing.)
