I'm planning to upgrade my old 19" CRT with a 19" TFT.
My first choice would be the 12ms Samsung syncmaster 913V
12ms
Contrast 1:500
Brightness 250cd/m2
but for almost the same price i would get the LG L1950SQ-SN
8ms
Contrast 1:700
300cd/m2
Do You think the Samsung screen would give me a better quality picture ? I've heard Samsung screens are good? Or Does the higher contrast and faster response make the LG screen a better choice?
I would use the monitor as an all-round. (internet, work, gaming)
Any help would be appreciated, since I'm new to the tft business. Been trying to find reviews, but i guess both monitors are quite new and that's why reviews are hard to find.
The L1950 has been reviewed here at tomshardware, but it wasnt the SQ-SN 1:700 and 300cd model. The SQ-SN seems to be a re-vamped version of the 1950 reviewed, and the main criticism against 1950 was it was slow. Perhaps the 1950SQ-SN with 8ms response and better contrast is a better contestant.
Anyway, please help me out and share Your thoughts
