I've got a buddy I play AAO with
Yesturday in a panic he joins the ventrillo server but spams chat about no sound(happens often)...
anyways
I go and listen(actually read) his problem and it goes like this
He lost sound to his system. so he did the ovbious1. unplug speaker system let cool plug in reboot (no help)
S he goes in to my comp, properties, heres where it gets strange.. there is nothing for sound.. Period!
in windows xp you click sound, speaker icon and you get 5 tabs for volume advanced setup and a couple others I'm on a work comp so excuse the lack of exacts its 2000
But this screen is grayed out...Will not let him choose any options for sound... even off the task bar it won't give him any options.. so the installed new drivers... NO help at all still.
The computer is a Dell with no onboard sound and he has an audigy card on a pentium machine
