Hello,
I currently own a P275 from IBM. It's a great 21" CRT Monitor, but I am constantly going to LAN Parties and other events and lugging the 75lb. behemoth around. So I've decided to upgrade to a worthy LCD now that they have improved dramatically over the years. Im looking for one that performs well in games (No ghosting/low response time, great colors.)
Specifically I am looking for a monitor that can pull off a resolution close to 1600x1200 (I know this is a 4:3). So far I have seen two monitors that have caught my eye, although they are very similar:
Samsung 244T
Dell 2405FPW
From what I have heard the Samsung is superior from this Review and that the main benefit is the HDCP support. Tom's hardware also disowns the 2405FPW in their recent review on wide LCD monitors.
So can anyone defend the Dell, Samsung, or point me into the direction of another monitor?
