I have or will have depending on UPS an Inspiron 1525 with a T5550 processor which I am replacing with a T9300. It is my belief that installing 4 gigs of PC2 6400 @ 800 will allow the computer FSB run at 800. Is this a valid assumption?

If the mobo supports the 800mHz FSB than you'll run at the maximum speed of the FSB. Still trying to find documentation that says what the FSB of the system is.

The Santa Rosa platform's memory bus is still at 667 mhz, if I recall correctly. There isn't really any benefit from replacing DDR2-667 with DDR2-800 when running Santa Rosa.
