tagged command queuing

i have the WD740GD and it supports tagged command queuing. does this mean i have to buy a separate controller card in order to use this feature? if so which one? If not will my current promise sata150 tx2plus work with the drive?

PS. The drive gets here monday.

Your controller will work with it, but I don't know if that feature is supported. It might need a firmware update to enable that feature. And a firmware update might not be possible.

thanks, do you know of a controller that does support it or that uses the silicon image 3512 or 3114?
